Recycling Rewards Local Charities

Bryson Recycling has pledged their support to two local charities this winter though their Recycling Rewards campaign.

Through this innovative campaign Bryson donates £1 to charity for every tonne of garden waste collected through their brown bin collection service that they provide on behalf of Conwy County Borough Council.

From the start of October 2021 to the end of September 2022, Bryson collected 6690 tonnes of garden waste, meaning they will donate £6690 to charity.

This year they have shortlisted two fantastic local charities and are asking Conwy residents to help them choose how much to donate to each. Their donation to each charity will be based on the number of votes they receive.

The charities are Hope Restored, who operate a food bank and offer a wide range of help and advice to make the lives of homeless and needy people in the Llandudno area just that little bit more bearable and Conwy Mind who support better mental health and wellbeing to people across Conwy County through the delivery of a wide range of inclusive services.

Gareth Walsh, General Manager at Bryson Recycling said; “Through our ‘Recycling Rewards’ campaign we help support local charities who provide valuable services in the areas we work at the same time as encouraging people to recycle as much as possible. We want to thank everyone who has used our garden waste collection service this year which will allow us to donate this amount to these charities who provide vital support to individuals and families in the Conwy area”.

Councillor Geoff Stewart, Cabinet Member responsible for Neighbourhood and the Environment at Conwy County Borough Council, added ““By recycling their garden waste, local residents can benefit the environment at the same time as supporting local charities.  We are keen to get local residents involved in the campaign and would encourage them to tell us which charity they would like to support”.
