NI Energy Advice Line Launch

Householders across Northern Ireland are being encouraged to ring the NI Energy Advice Line, run by Bryson Energy and the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE), to get free impartial energy saving advice.

Callers can get advice on heating systems and controls, oil buying clubs, insulation, double glazing, condensation and boilers. The advice line staff will also be giving out information on energy bills and energy efficiency grants.

Robert Clements, NIHE's Sustainable Development Manager, explains why we fund the Freephone number:
“As the Home Energy Conservation Authority for Northern Ireland we want to promote energy efficiency when and where we can. “By funding the Energy Advice Line we are able to help people access free impartial advice that will help them save money on their energy bills and reduce their carbon footprint.”

The service also includes the delivery of the Schools Energy Efficiency Awareness Programme. This is an interactive programme delivered to Key Stage 2 pupils encouraging awareness of energy use and the environment by addressing topics including "What is energy?", "Where does our energy come from?", "Environmental effects", "Renewable Energy" and "Energy Conservation".
