Bryson Charitable Group has been named amongst the island’s top achievers in business, crowned at a prestigious ceremony in the Mansion House Hotel, Dublin.

With headquarters in Belfast, the group which operates throughout Northern Ireland secured the Social Enterprise award in the prestigious Ulster Bank Business Achievers Awards against stiff competition from companies across all four provinces.

Having already enjoyed success at the Ulster provincial stage of the awards, Bryson Charitable Group continued to impress the high-level panel of judges, delivering 24,000 services daily ranging from recycling projects, to actively support those people living in fuel poverty.

Commenting on the win, John McMullan Chief Executive of Bryson said “We are delighted to be an Ulster Bank Business Achiever as this acknowledges the hard work and drive of our volunteers and staff in Bryson.”“

For us, the award is also recognition of the success of social business in Northern Ireland. The profile we get from winning the award shines a light on Bryson and other organisations operating in this market, and shows that we are a very viable and positive business model making a real contribution to the economy.”

Run in partnership with Invest NI, InterTradeIreland, the Belfast Telegraph and SmallBusinessCan.com, the awards recognise the achievements of companies from across the island in a wide range of sectors.

”“The judges said that the quality as well as the quantity of entries this year was outstanding, so the 2015 winners can be exceptionally proud of what they have achieved. We see daily the hard-work and commitment to success among local businesses, so we are thrilled to give them the opportunity to recognise and share their accomplishments on a public platform. Extremely well done to AJ Power, Bryson Charitable Group and Finnebrogue,” he continues.
