Bryson announce new CEO - Shane Logan

Bryson has announced that Shane Logan will become its new Chief Executive Officer.

Taking up the role in November, Shane will be taking charge of one of Northern Ireland’s largest and oldest social enterprises, leading a team of over 900 across Bryson’s six group companies.

The appointment follows the retirement of John McMullan, who led the Bryson Group for the last 17 years, as part of his 33 years of service.

Making the announcement, Hugh Crossey, Chair of the Bryson Group said:

Over the last few months we have been going through an executive recruitment process for our new CEO and we are pleased to say that the search is over, and that we have appointed Shane Logan.

The level of interest for this post exceeded our expectations with over 50 senior executives applying from across the UK and Ireland.  Following a robust recruitment and selection process, Shane stood out for us in terms of his proven track record of senior roles in a wide range of local and international organisations, both in the private and third sector.  These organisations include Royal National Institute for the Blind, BP, Harland & Wolff PLC and more recently Ulster Rugby.

Shane is a highly motivated professional with extensive experience of leading exceptional change.  He is very interested in leadership, building effective teams and getting the best out of people. We look forward to Shane joining the Bryson team, which now delivers 28,000 services each day across Northern Ireland, Ireland and Wales.

A graduate of Manchester University in Law and Accounting, Shane has 22 years’ experience at CEO level, including serving on over 20 private, public and voluntary boards.

Commenting on his new role, Shane Logan said:
