Bryson An Munia Tober Traveller Participation Session

We were delighted by the turnout at our recent Traveller Participation Session where we heard directly from Traveller grandmothers, mothers, daughters and sisters about their everyday concerns. The main worry at present is the impact of Universal Credit which, in the future, means that in order to receive your entitlement you must be computer literate. After much discussion we agreed that Bryson An Munia Tober would organise information events and help with I.T. training support. There was also a desire within the group to develop their independence and to work to help communities understand their culture. To this end, a small group of four Traveller women will work with An Munia Tober staff to develop an action plan for change.

Thanks to all who participated on the day and we look forward to future sessions!
