For over one hundred years, Bryson has been helping the most vulnerable people in Northern Ireland. Here are some of our services: An independent advocacy service for adults with learning disabilities. The service operates in the greater Belfast area encompassing Muckamore Abbey Hospital and across the South Eastern Trust area. A well established service offering practical help and emotional support to families experiencing difficulties or under stress. Provides a short-term service to people who have been in hospital and who require additional support / assistance to rehabilitate at home. Provides care and support to older people and people with a physical disability living in their own homes. Provides support to people who are vulnerable and living within the community. Provides a weekly service of fresh bed linen to people managing incontinence. Direct provision and development of practice learning opportunities in the wider voluntary sector. Bryson Charitable Group has been sub-contracted by the refugee Council (UK) to provide a service, including advice and support, to destitute Asylum Seekers while they apply for assistance through the new NASS (National Asylum Support Service) provisions. Bryson Charitable Group provides a variety of opportunities for people interested in volunteering including befriending, practical help, the arts and environmental projects. Bryson Charitable Group also sends young people from Northern Ireland to volunteer in other European countries. A volunteer befriending scheme matching adults with learning difficulties with individuals from the wider community on a one-to-one basis.
